I received a BFA from UMass/Amherst. As an undergraduate I completed an internship with salt magazine in Portland, Maine. I photographed one story on sea urchin divers and another on female rock and rollers. Those experiences ignited a passion for photojournalism. I have shot for various daily and weekly newspapers in New England, and continue as a stringer with the Associated Press.My main photographic interests are:
family events/vacations, portraits, sports
How I got started in photography:
My father and grandfather were both avid amateur photographers and passed on their passions and leftover cameras to me.
Favorite subject:
I love taking photos of people who are engrossed with their day.
Years photographing:
I have been shooting professionally for 15 years.
Equipment:
I shoot with Canon professional equipment.
My philosophy:
I like to let the world unfold around me and to use my body and mind to put me in the best position for a photo, instead of moving my subjects.
