My love for photography started with the inspiration my dad’s film photography provided.

I’ve been shooting for four years with Canon digital equipment and recently added a Nikon F film SLR to my studio. I took digital photography and photojournalism courses at the University of Utah in conjunction with my B.A. in Political Science and I’ve been fascinated with the technical and artistic elements of digital photography ever since. I enjoy photo editing and developing digital negatives on a Macbook Pro and an 23' HD cinema display. I'm a member of the NPPA and love photojournalism. It adds a great style and touch to my work. Some of my images have been published in Personal Development Magazine, Limitless Impact, and the Long Beach Press Telegram. I shoot stock photography also and contribute at iStock, Photoshelter and Shutterstock.
My main photographic interests are:
portraits, sports, nature
How I got started in photography:
My dad was a photographer and had a studio in southern California.
Favorite subject:
Couples portraits and families. Weddings.
Years photographing:
4 years.
Equipment:
Canon 40D, Canon 5D full frame digital SLR's, Canon L-Series glass, 50mm f/1.2L, Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS for sports, 580EXII Speedlights, Pocketwizards for off camera lighting, MacBook Pro, 23" HD Cinema display, color munki,CS3.
My philosophy:
Make your subjects light up and look great with creative composition. Use the best lighting scenarios possible to create the look you are trying get. Be meticulous with editing and don't over process digital negatives. Help your subjects feel and look their best in front of the camera and capture their personality.
