Retrospect Studios is Tim and Heidi Uhl. Two young entrepreneurs, Tim is 26 and Heidi is 24. They met in their college photography class and started their business the day after they returned from their honeymoon almost six years ago. Heidi has had a love for photography ever since she was a Teenager, shooting candid portraits with her first Canon Rebel at just 15 years old. Working together as a couple, Tim and Heidi are able to bring unique perspective to their bridal clientele. Tim is a third generation photographer, with family ties in the commercial and wedding/portrait business. Tim also works in advertising and design, skills which lend themselves to creating eye-catching images as well as marketing their studio.

Retrospect's style is classic with an edgy and modern twist. They routinely take brides, children and families out to visually interesting spots that other photographers overlook. They're known for bright saturated color, deep contrasts and fine detail. Their contemporary posing and composition can be seen in every one of their shots. Retrospect also employs a unique client discovery process, which was adopted from Tim's experience in advertising. Tim says it makes the difference between pictures that show you what you looked like, and pictures that show you who you were.
