Epson’s breakthrough AccuPhoto™ HD screening technology uses a radical new algorithm for determining dot placement, resulting in exceptional photographic image quality. Its ability to compensate for various ink densities between resolutions enables a single ICC profile to be used per media type.

Automatic Media Barcode Tracking and Identification System
The Automatic Media Barcode Tracking and Identification System offers convenience and removes aggravating guess work from the media tracking process. When enabled, the automatic media barcode tracking and identification system will automatically keep track of what media is loaded and the amount remaining on the roll. When a partially consumed roll is removed, the printer will automatically print a small barcode on the edge of the paper that will identify the paper when it is reinserted.

Unique Printer Activity Lighting System

• Nine individual amber LED lights provide live feedback about ink and printer activity

Automatic Print Head Alignment
Automatic Print Head Alignment comes standard on all Epson Stylus Pro printers. The built-in sensor technology inside the printer provides unmatched accuracy and automates the process for increased convenience.

Automatic Print Head Alignment:

• Build-in sensor reads printed data for highly precise alignments of all color channels
• Aligns both single and bi-directional print modes

Auto Ink Droplet Detection System
Epson has further improved the breakthrough Auto Nozzle Check system by creating the Auto Ink Droplet Detection System. This innovative feature automatically checks and verifies nozzle operability without the need for a pattern printout. A miniscule amount of electrically charged ink is emitted from all nozzles, and in the event that the built-in sensors do not detect ink, the nozzle is judged to be malfunctioning. If malfunctioning nozzles are detected, the printer automatically initiates a cleaning to clear the nozzle.

Auto Ink Droplet Detection System:

• Verifies nozzle status without the use of media
• Seamlessly check, identifies, and solves nozzle blockage problems
• Uses very little ink and no media
• Takes less than 30 seconds to complete the automatic process
• Can be set to run automatically between print jobs during unattended printing

True BorderFree™ Printing

• Capable of printing off both left and right edges of roll based media (up to 54" wide), while automatically cutting top and bottom edges to produce a full-bleed print on all four sides
