Photo Editing 101: Intermediate Photoshop
Learn to polish your images in Pictureline's new photo editing courses. Talented instructor, Dirk Widdison, is joining us in the Pictureline Studio to provide an essential foundation for your use of Adobe software. These classes are designed to develop your understanding of photo processing. Becoming fluent in image enhancements and retouching is an important step in producing professional-grade prints and flawless photographs.
For more effective hands-on learning, you may bring a device with any version of this Adobe product installed, but it is not required to attend this course.
In this class, you will learn how to:
- Layer styles and blending modes.
- Build an understanding of technical tricks
- Use Photoshop to build panoramic photographs.
- Learn tricks for portrait touch-ups: teeth whitening, skin softening, clothing color alterations, and head swapping.
- Discover shortcuts to make your use of Photoshop faster and more efficient.
Dirk Widdison is a Salt Lake based commercial photographer. In 2006 he received his BFA in Photography from the University of Utah and was hired by an international crafting company to be an in-house photographer. For seven years Dirk handled catalog, magazine, and all the event photography and found his love in the quick action that events and concerts bring. Capturing a split second moment and freezing it in time is one of the reasons he loves this style of shooting so much. One of Dirk’s greatest skills is in Photoshop. He has spent years learning and teaching, and loves the different challenges clients request.
