The Nikon TA-N100 Tripod Mounting Spacer is specifically designed for the Nikon 1 system, including the J1, J2, V1, and V2 cameras. It is used for mounting your Nikon 1 camera to a tripod when you have a larger lens mounted. The TA-N100 puts space between the lens and the head so the lens does not come into contact with the tripod head.
