RECAP:

The Cinematic Lighting in Storytelling Portraiture event with Meg Loeks on March 9th, 2024, was a valuable experience for attendees. Meg's presentation was thorough and immersive, providing attendees with a deep dive into the gear and skills she uses to capture her fine art photos. She expertly demonstrated the use of key and fill lights to create depth and storytelling in her work.

After the presentation, attendees had the opportunity for hands-on practice and personal instruction from Meg, using Profoto triggers, A2 lights, gels, snoots, grids, and Clic softboxes, highlighting the ease and quality of Profoto products. With two shooting bays featuring models in circus and detective themed costumes, participants were able to apply Meg's cinematic techniques and capture their own original images.

The event left everyone with newfound knowledge in lighting, camera settings, and storytelling in portraiture, along with some excellent photos. It was an unforgettable experience that highlighted the artistry and creativity of cinematic lighting in photography.
