Total Eclipse of the Sun and the Northern Lights are two of the most spectacular cosmic phenomena that everyone wants to witness. Come to this seminar to learn when and where you can witness them, and also how to capture them through your lens! We want to introduce you to this whole new realm of photography. Capturing the northern lights or an eclipse of the sun will be some of the most rewarding photographs and moments of your life. Joining us will be Terence Murtagh and Dr. Bill Gutsch to teach this seminar and provide more information on these spectacular events. Cost of admission is $14.95, which will be immediately refunded to you in the form of a pictureline gift card when you attend the seminar.

During this seminar, your instructors will go over the details of these spectacular phenomena and how to safely and successfully capture them.

  • Total Eclipse of the Sun (August 21st) - This has not happened in the United States since 1979, but on August 21st you will have the opportunity to watch it happen in person! People will be flocking to Idaho and Wyoming from all over the world to watch the moon completely block out all direct light from the Sun’s disc. Attend this seminar to learn more about this rare occurrence.

Pictureline has created an incredible opportunity for you to be at the right place at the right time to witness the Northern Lights.

  • Chasing the Northern Lights (October 15-22nd) - Pictureline has teamed up with a group of experienced Aurora Borealis (a.k.a. Northern Lights) photographers to give you the opportunity to see, experience and photograph this spectacular cosmic phenomenon. This week long excursion is held in Tromso, Norway and is led by Dr. Bill Gutsch former Director of the Hayden Planetarium, New York and Terence Murtagh, director and producer of many science documentaries for the Discovery Channel and experienced aurora photographer from many parts of the Arctic Circle. Sounds like a dream come true right? Attend this introductory seminar to find out how to sign up and check this off of your bucket list!
