Are you a photographer or videographer that’s looking to get involved in a good cause that benefits children? Join Red Fred Project and AIGA SLC on February 21st as they kick off their new partnership in their search for photographers and other creative professionals and hobbyists who can help them in their new initiative, LOCAL COLLECTIONS.
They’ll take you on a tour of their mission of creating books with kids living in extraordinary circumstances and help you know how you can use your creative skills to make a book with a child from Utah! Come learn about their book-making process, look through some of their books, and connect with other creative volunteers. It’s a free private event, so RSVP now to attend!
Red Fred Project finds children living in extraordinary circumstances and asks them the question: If you could write a book for the entire world to read, what would it be about? The books use photography, graphic design, and story-telling techniques. These creative kids have faced significant challenges in short lifetimes—with humor, compassion and wisdom-filled stories to share. RFP wants to know how they view the world and help them create an original, one-of-a-kind book, publish it, place it in their hands, and say, "Way to go! You've published a story; you've created a book!"
