The Nikon D750 (Camera Body) is the first in a new line of compact, lightweight and slim Nikon FX-format bodies offering the superior ability, as well as full-scale specifications, needed for high-quality imaging and pursuing those of professional Nikon models. Created to master at both still imaging and video recording, the Nikon D750 offers superior image quality with an effective 24.3 MP, as well as a new Nikon FX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 4 image-processor. Producing superior imagery with quality high-sensitivy performance that supports shooting in low-light conditions with an ISO of 12,800 expandable to 51,200, the D750 allows for hand-held shooting of scenes offering little in the way of lighting. A 51-point AF system with a 15 cross-type points are available in the D750, with the ability to utilize five AF points as a single focusing point in the Group Area AF setting for advanced subject recognition. Equipped with advanced functions nearly equal to those of professional models, the Nikon D750 is the first FX-format model to be equipped with a tilting 3.2” LCD monitor and built-in Wi-Fi function, paving the way for shooter convenience and professional DSLR capability.
The D750 is built as a compact and lightweight body, while the deep grip enables a steady hold that was achieved by making the camera slightly slimmer, eliminating various limitations users face while shooting with larger camera bodies. This enables greater freedom to express their photographic or video intent without the weight of a large camera. A carbon fiber composite material was utilized for the front body as a magnesium alloy for the rear and top covers, not only provides for a lighter camera body, but for strength and rigidity. The Nikon D750 responds to the desire of active photo hobbyists to be ever more creative while providing professional photographers the ability to continue creating high-quality imagery. Because the D750 responds to the desire of photo hobbyists and professional photographers, the camera is equipped with functions and nearly equal to those of high-end models. An Advanced Scene Recognition System calculated by the 91K-pixel RGB sensor increases the accuracy of automatically controlled systems such as AF, AE, i-TTL flash control and AWB, with facial detection using the optical viewfinder, which has 100% frame coverage. In a single burst of continuous shooting, the D750 can reach 6.5 fps in both FX format and DX format. Movie-recording functions of the D750 share the same four-motor system used by the D810, which responds to the professional filmmakers needs to output uncompressed movies to external HDMI recorders while simultaneously storing them on a memory card inserted in the camera.
