Return Policy

At pictureline, we are extremely proud that unless very clearly marked, all products we sell are new, unopened, and purchased directly from the manufacturer or their authorized distributor. Products that have left the store, been tested, or are otherwise opened, will be labeled and advertised as such, and have a discount associated with them. Our return policy reflects our commitment to being fully transparent with our customers, and only offering the best quality products. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, we are happy to process a return based on the following conditions.

ELIGIBLE ITEMS:

We accept returns up to 14 days from the date of receipt for all products that meet the following conditions:

  • Items must be unused and unopened.
  • All items, warranty cards, manuals, accessories, etc. must be included in original, unaltered condition.
OPENED / USED ITEMS:

Opened / Used Items are returnable, but will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Opened / Used Items must meet the following conditions in order to qualify for a partial refund.

  • All items, warranty cards, packaging, manuals, accessories, etc. must be included in original, unaltered condition. Items must be in the same new condition as was received by the customer. Products that have signs of wear may be refused or subject to additional restocking fees.
NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS:
  • Special order items (not regularly stocked)
  • Items not in original condition
  • Sensitized materials (film, photographic paper, or liquid chemicals)
  • Consumable items (batteries/chargers or ink)

RETURNING YOUR ITEM:

First, call our support team to receive authorization for your return, or visit us at our store.

  • Once authorized, ship your item back to us!
  • Pack all items to be returned in a sturdy shipping carton (use the original if you’d like)
  • Enclose a copy of your sales receipt, keeping the original for your records
  • Ship it back by your method of choice - we can provide a label and deduct the cost from your refund
  • We suggest adding shipping insurance as we can not cover any damage caused in transit
REFUNDS:
  • Once items are approved, refunds will be issued to the original form of payment (minus applicable fees)
  • 3% processing fee will apply unless issued as in-store credit
  • Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable
  • Credit for returns are normally processed within 3-5 business days from the date we receive the merchandise
  • An additional fee may be applied if items do not meet the return criteria and need to be sent back to the manufacturer
DEFECTIVE ITEMS:

If you receive a defective product, we will happily replace your product with the same or equivalent item at no cost to you! Some manufacturers have policies requiring replacement product be sent directly from the manufacturer rather than exchange by the retailer, and in those cases we will or assist you in receiving a replacement directly from the them. Defective items from Atomos, BlackMagic, DJI, and Hasselblad must be exchanged directly with the manufacturer. All defective returns must be made within 14 days of receipt of product. Full manufacturer warranties are supplied with merchandise purchased from pictureline for coverage after 14 days. Please call if you have any questions regarding the repairs or services covered under a manufacturer warranty.

Introduced in 2018, the Sony PXW-FS5M2 XDCAM 4K Super 35 Camera Body is the latest iteration of the compact and more portable FS5 series of interchangeable lens video cameras from Sony. Incorporating technology from the PXW-FS5 and Venice Cameras, the FS5 Mark II provides a lightweight, modular, and robust platform with some of the latest 4K and slow motion technology on the market, making it the ultimate “grab and shoot” Super 35 handheld camcorder available.

4K CMOS Super 35 Sensor

The PXW-FS5 Mark II uses the popular Super 35 format sensor size, making it easy to shoot with most other cinema cameras in the industry. This sensor, which uses Sony's Exmor technology, provides better sensitivity and noise reduction when in low light, and allows for high-speed full-pixel readout capabilities to minimize moiré. The 11.6 MP resolution of the sensor means that even if outputting to Full-HD, the resulting video will capture detail and texture and standard HD sensors just can’t pick up.

More Dynamic Range

The PXW-FS5 Mark II has an amazing 14 stops of dynamic range. This wide range allows for exposure of the darkest and brightest areas of the frame in a single shot. Combining this range with the 4K 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording helps ensure that the color and exposure is being captured fully, allowing for ultimate creative control and flexibility in post-production editing.

Built-in ND Filter

For shooting situations where changing the f-stop is not possible or ideal, Sony has built in an electronic variable ND filter. This can be set manually for 1/4 to 1/128 during shooting to maintain depth of field as lighting conditions change, or to use for creative effect.

High Frame Rate Recording

The FS5 Mark II is capable of some of the most stunning slow motion capture available. Standard slow motion of 60fps is available in the full 4K resolution, a 4-second burst of 120fps, or continuous recording up to 240fps at 2K resolution when used with an external recorder. For those using the internal storage options, 120fps at Full HD, or an 8-second burst at 240fps remain available options.

Lightweight and Modular for Ultimate Flexibility

The PXW-FS5 Mark II weighs in at a stunning 1.76lbs, amazing for a camera with such capabilities. With a light magnesium chassis, the FS5 Mark II is up to any rigorous shooting application, and is equally at home when used with the handle, or when mounted to a drone, gimbal, or in an underwater housing. The included and detachable smart grip allows for access to many of the key functions of the camera easily, and the monitor can be mounted in one of several positions, ensuring the perfect operation for virtually any shooting situation.

The PXW-FS5 II uses the standard Sony E-mount, providing access to a wide variety of crop and full frame lens offerings from Sony.
