Return Policy

At pictureline, we are extremely proud that unless very clearly marked, all products we sell are new, unopened, and purchased directly from the manufacturer or their authorized distributor. Products that have left the store, been tested, or are otherwise opened, will be labeled and advertised as such, and have a discount associated with them. Our return policy reflects our commitment to being fully transparent with our customers, and only offering the best quality products. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, we are happy to process a return based on the following conditions.

ELIGIBLE ITEMS:

We accept returns up to 14 days from the date of receipt for all products that meet the following conditions:

  • Items must be unused and unopened.
  • All items, warranty cards, manuals, accessories, etc. must be included in original, unaltered condition.
OPENED / USED ITEMS:

Opened / Used Items are returnable, but will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Opened / Used Items must meet the following conditions in order to qualify for a partial refund.

  • All items, warranty cards, packaging, manuals, accessories, etc. must be included in original, unaltered condition. Items must be in the same new condition as was received by the customer. Products that have signs of wear may be refused or subject to additional restocking fees.
NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS:
  • Special order items (not regularly stocked)
  • Items not in original condition
  • Sensitized materials (film, photographic paper, or liquid chemicals)
  • Consumable items (batteries/chargers or ink)
  • Printers
  • Professional Cinema products
RETURNING YOUR ITEM:

First, call our support team to receive authorization for your return, or visit us at our store.

  • Once authorized, ship your item back to us!
  • Pack all items to be returned in a sturdy shipping carton (use the original if you’d like)
  • Enclose a copy of your sales receipt, keeping the original for your records
  • Ship it back by your method of choice - we can provide a label and deduct the cost from your refund
  • We suggest adding shipping insurance as we can not cover any damage caused in transit
REFUNDS:
  • Once items are approved, refunds will be issued to the original form of payment (minus applicable fees)
  • 3% processing fee will apply unless issued as in-store credit
  • Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable
  • Credit for returns are normally processed within 3-5 business days from the date we receive the merchandise
  • An additional fee may be applied if items do not meet the return criteria and need to be sent back to the manufacturer
DEFECTIVE ITEMS:

If you receive a defective product, we will happily replace your product with the same or equivalent item at no cost to you! Some manufacturers have policies requiring replacement product be sent directly from the manufacturer rather than exchange by the retailer, and in those cases we will or assist you in receiving a replacement directly from the them. Defective items from Atomos, BlackMagic, DJI, and Hasselblad must be exchanged directly with the manufacturer. All defective returns must be made within 14 days of receipt of product. Full manufacturer warranties are supplied with merchandise purchased from pictureline for coverage after 14 days. Please call if you have any questions regarding the repairs or services covered under a manufacturer warranty.

EXCESSIVE RETURNS:

pictureline reserves the right to refuse returns to customers who have exhibited a pattern of excessive returns, as determined solely by management.

Advanced, Precise  Follow Focus System

The DJI Focus uses DJI’s expertise in brushless motors for previously unheard of levels of precision and accuracy. The brushless motor puts just ±0.02° of accuracy in your hands so that turning the remote is just like turning the lens itself. It also features high torque and a fast reaction speed so you can keep your subject in focus no matter how it moves.

Fast Wireless Transmission

On the ground, the remote control transmits at distances of up to 100m with just 14ms of lag in open space. Attached to an Inspire carrying either the Zenmuse X5 or Zenmuse X5R, it connects directly to the aircraft remote, giving you seamless camera control across your entire flight range.

Adjustable Endpoints

While cinema lenses feature built-in hard stops, photography lenses do not. On the Focus you can tune the lens to match the end-points of any lens you want to use. Because it uses a brushless motor, the onboard processor knows exactly which position the motor is in, letting you set up in seconds simply by turning the lens to infinite and marking it, then repeating at the other end.

Customizable Focus Wheel

The already tactile and sturdy focus wheel is customizable so that it feels how you want it to feel. Simply turn a control knob until it reaches a stiffness or looseness that feels right to your hand.

Removable Marking Ring

A white marking ring around the focus dial can be swapped out and customized instantly using everything from masking tape to wax pencil for different lenses or projects. A light behind the ring illuminates it from behind ensuring markings are visible even on a dark set.

Programmable and Customizable

An OLED display menu on the remote lets you fine-tune how the Focus works for you. You can even set multiple focus points, and the speed the camera racks between them making complex moves simple and repeatable.

Dual-Band Control

Adding the 5.8 GHz wireless module to the Focus allows it to connect with the Inspire remote controller, providing wireless control of X5 series cameras from up to 3.1 mi (5km) away. It is compatible with the Ronin-MX on the M600, and all other Lightbridge 2 compatible devices, giving it up to 5Km of reach.

Ronin and Ronin-M Support

When used with a DJI Ronin or Ronin-M you can pull focus from all around the set wirelessly, adding new depth to your Ronin footage.

Dual Communication Ports

Two ports have been built in, so that as technology develops and improves you can expand your Focus with even more features and capabilities.


Rosette Mount

Connect other accessories to the Focus or even connect it to other pieces of your equipment. A built-in rosette mount means it can be fitted wherever you need it securely.

Rechargeable Battery

The included long-lasting single cell battery can power the Focus throughout a shoot, and can be swapped in seconds if it runs out. You can charge it in the studio or even on the move from a power pack through its USB recharging port.

Included in the padded, waterproof case are the handheld remote follow focus remote controller, focus motor, neck strap, additional focus marking rings, 60mm, 70mm, 80mm, 90mm lens gear rings, and accompanying cables.
