Ian Spanier began taking photographs at six years old when his parents gave him his first point and shoot camera. After majoring in photography in college, Spanier worked in publishing as an editor, but making pictures never left him. Having only known 35mm, he taught himself medium and large format as well as lighting.
I loved being able to see how another professional manipulates light. It was great to hear some of his “must do’s” during a shoot, some of which I was luckily doing naturally and some that I can put into practice right away! Really glad that Pictureline could host something so useful for the photo community!
This presentation was well worth the money spent. Ian was engaging, professional, and enthusiastic. The information was well presented and he was very patient while answering everyone's questions afterwards. Wonderful event.
