Join us Thursday, September 24 from 6–8 PM at Pictureline for a hands-on product lighting workshop taught by Westcott Pro Jeahn Laffitte.
Great product photography starts with understanding how light behaves. In this workshop, Jeahn will break down the core principles that make it possible to confidently light virtually any product, surface, or material.
Explore how reflection, refraction, diffusion, transmission, the inverse square law, and other practical lighting concepts affect the way a subject appears on camera. You’ll learn how to control highlights, reveal texture and shape, manage transparency, and create intentional results when working with challenging materials like glass, metal, fabric, glossy surfaces, liquids, and more.
Rather than relying on memorized lighting setups, this workshop will teach you how to evaluate a product, understand how it interacts with light, and determine the best approach for the image you want to create. You’ll leave with a stronger problem-solving framework for building purposeful lighting that complements both the product and the brand.
