Looking for a budget-friendly flash receiver? Try the Phottix Ares II Wireless Flash Receiver. This receiver incorporates the latest technology and is perfect for manual shooting with studio lights or hot shoe flashes without being tethered by cords. This receiver is designed to work with the Ares II transmitter (sold separately) and is perfect for adding receiving compatibility to additional studio or hot-shoe mounted flashes.
The Ares II is the replacement for the popular original Ares system, which was a standalone product within the Phottix ecosystem, and not compatible with other Phottix products. The Ares II has improved upon the original, and includes compatibility with all of the other Phottix products.
More Channels and Digital ID
The 16 different channels available on the Ares II help ensure that interference won't complicate shooting ability. The first four channels allow compatibility with Phottix Strato II receivers or lights with built-in Mitros+ and Strato II receivers. A Digital ID function with a four-digit ID code allows triggering to be locked down, perfect for shooting in populated areas where flashes might typically be triggered accidentally.
Universal Hot Shoe
Ares II transmitters and receivers are designed to be compatible with most major camera and flash systems. By using the X-Sync pin, they are compatible with most hot shoes and hot shoe flashes from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax, Panasonic, Fuji, and Olympus.
