Return Policy

At pictureline, we are extremely proud that unless very clearly marked, all products we sell are new, unopened, and purchased directly from the manufacturer or their authorized distributor. Products that have left the store, been tested, or are otherwise opened, will be labeled and advertised as such, and have a discount associated with them. Our return policy reflects our commitment to being fully transparent with our customers, and only offering the best quality products. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, we are happy to process a return based on the following conditions.

ELIGIBLE ITEMS:

We accept returns up to 14 days from the date of receipt for all products that meet the following conditions:

  • Items must be unused and unopened.
  • All items, warranty cards, manuals, accessories, etc. must be included in original, unaltered condition.
OPENED / USED ITEMS:

Opened / Used Items are returnable, but will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Opened / Used Items must meet the following conditions in order to qualify for a partial refund.

  • All items, warranty cards, packaging, manuals, accessories, etc. must be included in original, unaltered condition. Items must be in the same new condition as was received by the customer. Products that have signs of wear may be refused or subject to additional restocking fees.
NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS:
  • Special order items (not regularly stocked)
  • Items not in original condition
  • Sensitized materials (film, photographic paper, or liquid chemicals)
  • Consumable items (batteries/chargers or ink)
  • Printers
  • Professional Cinema products
RETURNING YOUR ITEM:

First, call our support team to receive authorization for your return, or visit us at our store.

  • Once authorized, ship your item back to us!
  • Pack all items to be returned in a sturdy shipping carton (use the original if you’d like)
  • Enclose a copy of your sales receipt, keeping the original for your records
  • Ship it back by your method of choice - we can provide a label and deduct the cost from your refund
  • We suggest adding shipping insurance as we can not cover any damage caused in transit
REFUNDS:
  • Once items are approved, refunds will be issued to the original form of payment (minus applicable fees)
  • 3% processing fee will apply unless issued as in-store credit
  • Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable
  • Credit for returns are normally processed within 3-5 business days from the date we receive the merchandise
  • An additional fee may be applied if items do not meet the return criteria and need to be sent back to the manufacturer
DEFECTIVE ITEMS:

If you receive a defective product, we will happily replace your product with the same or equivalent item at no cost to you! Some manufacturers have policies requiring replacement product be sent directly from the manufacturer rather than exchange by the retailer, and in those cases we will or assist you in receiving a replacement directly from the them. Defective items from Atomos, BlackMagic, DJI, and Hasselblad must be exchanged directly with the manufacturer. All defective returns must be made within 14 days of receipt of product. Full manufacturer warranties are supplied with merchandise purchased from pictureline for coverage after 14 days. Please call if you have any questions regarding the repairs or services covered under a manufacturer warranty.

EXCESSIVE RETURNS:

pictureline reserves the right to refuse returns to customers who have exhibited a pattern of excessive returns, as determined solely by management.

Large F1.8 maximum aperture

The 35mm focal length is a perfect choice for everyday snapshots, food photography, landscapes, night scenes and more as the maximum F1.8 aperture opens up a world of beautiful prime-lens bokeh. The large F1.8 maximum aperture enables beautiful defocusing effects and enables the massive amount of light for low-light or dimly lit shooting scenarios.

9-blade circular aperture

The 9-blade circular aperture maximizes the beauty captured by this large-aperture prime-lens, contributing to impressive images in which the subject stands out against a smoothly defocused background bokeh as well as naturally rendered points of defocused light.

Refined optical performance

The refined optical design includes an aspheric glass element that dramatically reduces spherical aberration while also reducing lens size and weight. Field curvature is carefully corrected by this specially shaped aspherical lens to restore the alignment of light rays at the image plane. Superior contrast is maintained across the entire image, even at large-aperture settings, resulting in corner-to-corner sharpness.

Linear motor for fast and precise focusing

The linear motor is used to allow fast, precise focusing, even at challenging maximum F1.8 aperture where the depth of field is very shallow. Operation is responsive and quiet whether you’re focusing manually or using autofocus. This, with its rapid response ability for fine focus adjustment, makes it ideal for movie recording as well.

Compact and lightweight

Weighing in at only 9.9 oz. (280g)and measuring a mere Φ2.58” x 2.87“ (Φ65.6mm x 73mm), the 35mm F1.8 is an ideal compact and lightweight everyday lens. Additionally, its compact dimensions make it an appealing choice for both Full-frame as well as APS-C bodies, offering a 52.5mm equivalent focal length on APS-C cameras.

Customizable focus hold button

The focus hold button not only performs its primary function to lock focus when recomposing but can be customized to a number of other functions depending on your needs. In addition to Focus Hold, these custom functions include Eye AF, AF On, Aperture Preview, Shot Result Preview or Bright Monitoring among others.

8.66” min.focus distance

Get close-up with a minimum 8.66” focus distance and maximum 0.24x magnification for macro and other interesting shots.

AF/MF switch

A direct AF/MF switch on the lens barrel conveniently allows for fast selection between autofocus or manual focus without having to access any menus.

Linear Response Manual Focus

Linear Response manual focus (MF)allows for fine, responsive Manual Focus control, especially needed when shooting fine detail, close-up images or pulling critical focus while shooting in movie mode. Linear Response Manual Focus delivers predictable and repeatable manual focus control.

Internal focusing

The overall length of the lens does not change when focusing which is especially important when using for video recording. Other important benefits include fast autofocusing and a short minimum focusing distance. Also, the filter thread at the front of the lens does not rotate, which is convenient when using a polarizing filter.
