Return Policy

At pictureline, we are extremely proud that unless very clearly marked, all products we sell are new, unopened, and purchased directly from the manufacturer or their authorized distributor. Products that have left the store, been tested, or are otherwise opened, will be labeled and advertised as such, and have a discount associated with them. Our return policy reflects our commitment to being fully transparent with our customers, and only offering the best quality products. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase, we are happy to process a return based on the following conditions.

ELIGIBLE ITEMS:

We accept returns up to 14 days from the date of receipt for all products that meet the following conditions:

  • Items must be unused and unopened.
  • All items, warranty cards, manuals, accessories, etc. must be included in original, unaltered condition.
OPENED / USED ITEMS:

Opened / Used Items are returnable, but will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. Opened / Used Items must meet the following conditions in order to qualify for a partial refund.

  • All items, warranty cards, packaging, manuals, accessories, etc. must be included in original, unaltered condition. Items must be in the same new condition as was received by the customer. Products that have signs of wear may be refused or subject to additional restocking fees.
NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS:
  • Special order items (not regularly stocked)
  • Items not in original condition
  • Sensitized materials (film, photographic paper, or liquid chemicals)
  • Consumable items (batteries/chargers or ink)
  • Printers
  • Professional Cinema products
RETURNING YOUR ITEM:

First, call our support team to receive authorization for your return, or visit us at our store.

  • Once authorized, ship your item back to us!
  • Pack all items to be returned in a sturdy shipping carton (use the original if you’d like)
  • Enclose a copy of your sales receipt, keeping the original for your records
  • Ship it back by your method of choice - we can provide a label and deduct the cost from your refund
  • We suggest adding shipping insurance as we can not cover any damage caused in transit
REFUNDS:
  • Once items are approved, refunds will be issued to the original form of payment (minus applicable fees)
  • 3% processing fee will apply unless issued as in-store credit
  • Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable
  • Credit for returns are normally processed within 3-5 business days from the date we receive the merchandise
  • An additional fee may be applied if items do not meet the return criteria and need to be sent back to the manufacturer
DEFECTIVE ITEMS:

If you receive a defective product, we will happily replace your product with the same or equivalent item at no cost to you! Some manufacturers have policies requiring replacement product be sent directly from the manufacturer rather than exchange by the retailer, and in those cases we will or assist you in receiving a replacement directly from the them. Defective items from Atomos, BlackMagic, DJI, and Hasselblad must be exchanged directly with the manufacturer. All defective returns must be made within 14 days of receipt of product. Full manufacturer warranties are supplied with merchandise purchased from pictureline for coverage after 14 days. Please call if you have any questions regarding the repairs or services covered under a manufacturer warranty.

Sony's Native E-Mount System: the smarter choice for moving pictures
Unlike still photography, motion pictures benefit from lenses with ultra-quiet and continuously variable power zoom and iris. That's what Sony's new generation of E-Mount lenses delivers, superb optical quality along with auto focus and the perfect balance of build quality, affordability and light weight. With an extremely shallow, 18 mm flange-back distance, the camera's E-Mount also accepts an extensive range of PL, Canon EF and other SLR glass via third-party adaptors.

180 fps High Frame Rates
High Frame Rate shots can turn everyday actions into slow-motion ballet, a visual feast of elegant movement. The FS7 delivers a maximum of 180 frames per second (fps) continuous shooting in Full HD. If your project plays at the cinematic 24 fps, you get beautiful 7.5x Super Slow Motion. There's no sacrifice in bit depth and no "windowing" of the sensor. So there's no crop factor, no loss in angle of view. The camera also performs Slow & Quick (S&Q) motion from 1 to 180 fps in 1 fps increments. So you can alter the narrative by selectively speeding up or slowing down the action.

Exceptional 10-bit 4:2:2 imagery at just 50 Mbps
Long-form projects shine with Sony's XAVC-L recording system. Here's the superior grayscale rendition of 10-bit recording, plus the uncompromised detail of 4:2:2 color—all at a budget-friendly 50 Mbps (HD mode). Other options include on-board 4K (3840 x 2160) recording, the same 113 Mbps XAVC-I recording as Sony's high-end F55, well-accepted MPEG HD 422, the Apple® ProRes™ codec (with future upgrade and extension unit, sold separately), and even outboard RAW recording (with extension unit and outboard recorder, sold separately).

Next-generation memory
Long-form programs need media that's both reliable and affordable. As specified by the CompactFlashAssociation, XQD™ memory cards score big on both accounts. Reliability comes from in-camera recovery. You get very low cost per minute compared to CFast™ cards. And robust communication between the camera and the card's controller enables read/write speeds up to a sizzling 600 Mbps.

Shoulder-mount comfort without rigs—or rigmarole.
It's ironic that so-called affordable cameras need to be outfitted with expensive rigs, cages, hand grips and accessory viewfinders before you can put them on your shoulder. The PXW-FS7 is different. It was designed from a clean sheet of paper to balance beautifully on your shoulder. Zoom, Start/Stop and Assign controls are comfortably located on the sculpted, telescoping hand grip. Sony supplies a proper viewfinder that's perfectly offset to the left with a huge range of fore-aft adjustment. Want more? A viewfinder extension box and a 15 mm rod mount provide even greater flexibility.
