The Sony RX100 VII: Achieving New Heights in a Compact Camera

If you are into the Sony A9, the new Sony RX100 VII will be right up your alley. With how many specs Sony incorporated into this compact camera, let us just say, it's a beast. Sample images of the Sony RX100 VII

To get down to the nitty-gritty, it has the same speed performance as the A9 with 60 AF/AE calculations per second and 20fps blackout-free shooting with AF/AE tracking. The 24-200mm f/2.8-4.5 lens is the same as the previous version but now the camera offers a 20.1-megapixel 1-inch sensor that has been upgraded with newer technology similar to the A9's full-frame sensor.

One of the most important features to point out is the long-awaited 3.5mm mic port—eliminating vloggers from having to deal with the poor in-camera audio. Sony also will be offering a "Shooting Grip Kit" that comes with a grip (photo and video shutters built-in), Bracket with Accessory shoe and two rechargeable battery packs.

Sony claims that the video capabilities are even greater than the previous RX100 VI with 4k in-body movie recording with full pixel readout and no pixel binning in high bitrate. The camera also has a 180-degree flip screen to make sure you are getting your best angles. With everything combined, it is clear Sony has created a go-to camera for vloggers.
