All aluminum components are CNC-machined from T6061 aluminum stock and type-2 anodized to protect against wear.
VENTED CLEVIS & MAGNETIC PULL-TABS
The air vents prevent pressure gradients from building up, allowing smoother leg extraction and collapse.
CARBON FIBER
Our carbon fiber is produced using a unique weave pattern. This leads to a stronger and stiffer tube, while also staying lightweight.
TWIST LOCKS
Sealed twist locks minimize fouling, extend twist lock life and simplify maintenance.
FEET
In addition to the pre-installed rubber feet, RRS manufactures two additional types of feet; rock claws and spike feet (sold separately).
ADAPTABLE QUICK-COLUMN
Benefit from the added height without the ground-level limitations of a typical quick-column. Simply detach, flip, and lock to get that ground-level shot.
COMPACT SHAPE
Triangular shaped column allows the tripod legs to be closer together when folded, reducing the packed diameter of the tripod.
REMOVABLE LOWER SECTION
The lower section of the quick-column can easily be removed without tools in order to lower the tripod to ground level. It can also be removed for a lighter setup.
WEIGHT HOOK
This can be used to hang weight from the bottom of the column in order to increase the tripod's stability.
SAFETY STOPS
When shooting underneath the tripod or quickly moving from location to location, the safety stop will keep your gear from accidentally falling to the ground. It can easily be turned on or off by the user.
RAPID LOCK
The height of the column can quickly be adjusted by the lever actuated locking system.
