In this course, More to Photography Part Three, your instructor will teach you the skills you need to produce sharp, crisp, and stunning photos. Focusing properly, and using the focusing points in your camera can make all the difference in the quality of your images. Another aspect to having incredible sharpness in your images is using the correct lens for different types of photography. We'll go over your options and which lenses work for which shoots. Not sure if you should be shooting RAW or JPEG, or maybe you aren't even sure what the difference is? This class will cover all of these topics in-depth, and you'll leave the session feeling educated and ready to take your skills to the next level.
Focusing Points
Every camera can be a little different when it comes to Focusing Points. It's important to know how to control them and how to use them to your advantage.
Focusing Modes
Camera Focus modes are used to help you lock your focus points on your subject. We will discuss the differences between automatic and manual focusing and why you would use one over the other. When shooting in auto focus modes we will even go a little further to discuss the differences in single and continuous focusing modes and why to use them.
Lenses
Learn how the right lens for your subject matter makes a world of difference in obtaining the perfect photo. We will discuss all aspects from quality, focal length, prime vs. zoom, specialty lenses, and depth of field control when making your decision.
File Format (JPEG vs. RAW)
If you are unfamiliar with the concepts behind shooting in RAW vs. JPEG, you are not alone. It can be a confusing topic, and that is why we think it is important to go over and discuss which one is best for which circumstances, along with the pros and cons of each. By the end of the session you'll be able to decide which format works best for your shooting style.
Be sure to bring your DSLR or mirrorless camera to this class, because we will doing a lot of hands-on learning!
