Come Try the Mirrorless Hasselblad X1D!

HASSELBLAD 1XD BLOG

Hasselblad has undoubtedly changed the game with the announcement of the mirrorless medium format Hasselblad X1D. Join Hasselblad and pictureline on July 11th for a hands-on demonstration of the new X-system body and lenses from 1pm - 4pm. Register for this complimentary, private event by checking out with the event in your cart, or emailing support@pictureline.comx1d-hero

Most notably, the compact size makes the X1D Hasselblad’s first eligible contender for run-and-gun style photography. At 1.6 pounds, this body weighs a full two pounds less than the New H6D series, half the weight of Nikon and Canon’s flagship models, the D5 and 1D X Mark II, respectively.

Hasselblad photographers are well invested in their glass. Fortunately for them, H-series lenses are compatible with the mirrorless X system using a mount adapter that should be available by the time the body ships at the end of July.

Though the nearly $9,000 price tag may place this camera slightly out of range of a photo enthusiast's pocket-change, the phenomenal 16-bit color definition and 14 stops of dynamic range captured by the large 43.8 × 32.9mm 50MP CMOS sensor might make you think twice before shrugging it aside.

We look forward to exploring this camera, and testing its limits with you on July 11th!
