Panasonic Announced As Promised the 70-200 F2.8 and 16-35 F4

Panasonic has promised 42 lenses by the end of 2020, challenging Sony with the amount of full-frame lens options. With the L-mount alliance, Leica and Sigma will also be contributing to the growing lens options. So far, four Lumix S lenses are available: The 24-105mm F4 MACRO OIS, the PRO 50mm F1.4, the Lumix PRO 70-200mm F4 OIS and the Lumix S PRO 24-70mm F2.8. Today, Panasonic Lumix has added two more lenses as promised—the 70-200mm F2.8 and 16-35mm F4.

LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm F2.8 OIS

Panasonic Lumix 70-200mm F2.8 lens

This zoom lens has an 11-blade circular aperture diagram and can achieve high-performance. The recent release of the 1.4x and 2x teleconverters will be a nice addition for the new 70-200mm F2.8 with a maximum of 280mm (1.4x) and 400mm (2x). It will have a maximum of 480fps focus control for high-speed and accurate autofocus. The O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) in the lens combined with the S-Series Body’s 5-Axis Dual I.S making it possible to use a 7-stop slower shutter speed. The bright F2.8 aperture provides beautiful bokeh and it also excels in video performance due to a mechanism that eliminates focus breathing. It comes with dust and splash resistance, withstanding harsh conditions. The LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm F2.8 will be available this January and will retail at $2,599.
